SCORE and uwemp to Feature Business Stories Based on the Real-Life Experiences of Entrepreneurs

09/06/2009

SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” has teamed up with uwemp (you. we. me. empowered)—an online media company and writing community—to provide feature stories and profiles of individual business owners who received mentoring from SCORE along their entrepreneurial journeys.

The alliance with uwemp’s writing community will provide content focusing on business owners’ real-world experiences in starting their enterprises, which includes the setbacks, mistakes made and lessons learned as a critical resource for other current and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The feature stories will be added later this year to both the SCORE and uwemp Web sites, www.score.org and www.uwemp.com. “We see this as the first of many strategic initiatives with SCORE in an effort to offer educational, inspirational and useful tools and programs for both existing and aspiring entrepreneurs,” says Jordan Wolfe, founder of uwemp.

Wolfe is passionate about his company’s mission. “The alliance with SCORE offers our talented writing community an opportunity to have their work exposed to the millions of unique visitors to SCORE’s Web site. Both organizations share the core mission of offering valuable resources and access to accomplished professionals that enable aspiring entrepreneurs to follow their passions and head down the entrepreneurial path.”
